We at the Finnish Male Choir Association have been following the development of the coronavirus pandemic closely regarding our planned festival. At the moment, the situation is serious, the vaccination schedule has not yet been confirmed and the predictions for the spring look quite worrying as well. The choirs are having major difficulties in rehearsing for the event and specifically for the competition, and organizing the event already in April 2021 is not reasonably possible for participants nor for our association.
For the reason, we have had to make a hard decision to postpone the event once more to October-November 2021. The exact weekend as well as the event schedule will be confirmed at latest in February 2021. The competition registrations already sent and the tickets already bought are also valid on the new event dates. More details of the practical arrangements will be published in spring 2021.

Olemme Suomen Mieskuoroliitossa seuranneet tiiviisti koronavirustilanteen kehittymistä tulevaa suurtapahtumaamme silmällä pitäen. Tilanne on tällä hetkellä vakava, rokotejakelun aikataulusta ei ole vielä tietoa ja myös kevään ennusteet näyttävät huolestuttavilta. Kuorojen valmistautuminen tapahtumaan ja erityisesti kilpailuun on rajoitusten vuoksi vaikeaa, eikä tapahtuman järjestäminen vielä huhtikuussa 2021 ole osallistujille eikä liitollemme tarkoituksenmukaista.
Tästä syystä olemme joutuneet tekemään raskaan päätöksen tapahtuman siirtämisestä vielä edelleen loka-marraskuulle 2021. Tapahtumaviikonloppu aikatauluineen vahvistetaan viimeistään helmikuussa 2021. Jo tehdyt kilpailuilmoittautumiset ja ostetut liput ovat voimassa myös uutena tapahtumaviikonloppuna. Tiedotamme muista käytännön järjestelyistä tarkemmin keväällä 2021.
